Date Saturday 14th March 2009
Time 14:05 – 14:35

Overview:

The digization of the consumer electronics industry has had enormous impact on its products, value chains and operating models over the last decade. No doubt, this process will continue at full speed, where in the next phase intuitive user interfacing,  IP-connectivity and seamless interoperability will be major drivers for innovation. The main challenge for the CE industry is not so much to come up with the right technologies, but to design the application innovations that are relevant and exciting to the consumer and to establish the right value propositions together with all partners in the contents delivery and product creation value chains.

The presentation will shortly highlight a few key elements of the changes ahead:

  • Managing complexity in the IP connected CE world
  • The take-off of Web 2.0 for CE
  • User interface and convergence in the digital home
  • Partnerships for value creation and changing ways of working
  • Standards and digital rights
  • Roadblocks for Moore’s Law?

.. and is intended to provide some food for further thought and discussion.
